Annapolis, MD – Today, Hospice Cup named Meredith Glacken to its leadership as the organization’s new Executive Director.  Glacken succeeds Christine Lasser, who has served as Hospice Cup’s Executive Director since 2020.

“I’m delighted to join Hospice Cup and so honored to advance its important mission,” says Glacken.

“The hospice care programs that the Cup supports offer compassion, dignity, and a dedication to quality of life for those in our community facing the challenges of serious illness and end-of-life.  I’m so proud to carry on Christine’s impactful work.”

“As a sailor, I’m also excited to support this beloved annual race,” she added.

“The regatta and the party that follows are much looked forward to events on the local sailing and social calendars.”

Glacken joins Hospice Cup from Foresight Messaging, a marketing and communications outfit she founded in 2022 and still runs as the firm’s principal.  She also serves on the boards of the Chesapeake Bay Alberg 30 One-Design Association and the Michael H. Tillotson Foundation.

Hospice Cup Board President Molly Wilmer is excited to get right to work with Glacken on preparations for this fall’s Hospice Cup event which will take place September 14th.

“Meredith is the right person to build on the upward momentum that Christine has created, said Wilmer.

“Hospice Cup is indebted to Christine for her leadership through the Covid pandemic and into the strong position we are in today – last year was a record-breaking year for Hospice Cup. We are incredibly excited for what lies ahead for Hospice Cup under Meredith’s leadership.”

Outgoing Executive Director Christine Lasser, who will remain with Hospice Cup as part of its leadership team, echoed Wilmer’s enthusiasm for Glacken’s addition.

“I am so excited to welcome her into this role,” she said.

“I have no doubt that with Meredith at the helm, Hospice Cup will continue to grow and thrive.”
